I'm Akhyar (Akhy for short, pronounced "a-khee"). I write code and build things.
During the day, I work on deployment platform and infrastructure stuff. Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines, that kind of thing. Outside of work, I build small tools that solve my own problems and wishing others find them useful too.
I write about the technical stuff I'm working on. Not tutorials or guides, just what I built, why, and how it went. Sometimes it works great. Sometimes there are trade-offs. Either way, I write about it.
What I Build
Mostly CLI tools in Go and self-hosted services on my home setup. Projects like ksw for switching Kubernetes contexts, or experiments with the Fediverse. Nothing revolutionary, just practical tools that make my work easier.
I also run a self-hosting setup with Raspberry Pis and budget hardware. It's a playground for the fun of learning how things work without spending much money.
Why I Write
Writing helps me think through problems and understand what I learned from building something. If you find it useful, great. If not, that's fine too.
